Prepare for Winter
It may feel like the end of summer but it’s not too late to add some colour to your garden. September is an excellent month to start planning how your garden will look over the next 12 months. So to add some winter colour to your borders why not try planting chrysanthemums or ‘mums’ as they are called in business. They come in a wonderful array of colours and varieties and will keep your garden looking colourful long into the winter months.
Daffodils and crocus are excellent bulbs to sow now ready for next spring and to ensure an explosion of colour next summer now is the time to start planting delphiniums.
